Like forgotten words lingering to the tips of tongues, Africa is a distant memory desperate to resurface... saturated in sun-kissed sorrows, drenched in doubtful tears... smothered under a blanket of assimilation and imperialism. Who are these people with bodies draped in skin ranging from the deepest black to the faintest shade of yellow? Who were these people with histories ingrained in ancient soils and sands stretching far beyond the scope of our Americanized minds?
